"Mary's Daughter" and Black August Celebration! LIVE, on Stepping Into Tomorrow, 8PM, 8/23/18


Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant meets with artivist, Blak Rapp Madusa and activist Lavinia Davis to discuss this weekend's "Mary's Daughter...Memoirs of an Artivist" one-woman play, being held at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. This critically acclaimed production showcases Blak Rapp Madusa sharing her story on her experiences in womanhood, family and her fights for justice and liberation. This event will also include a dedication to the life and legacy of political prisoner, Russell "Maroon" Shoatz, including a panel discussion made up of Philadelphia activists and organizers representing several different organizations. We also will hear from Theresa Shoatz this evening, to discuss how this event is meaningful for her dad and entire family.
