ImageSaxophonist/composer Dan Peterson, a member of Bobby Zankel's Warriors of the Wonderful Sound, Odean Pope's Saxophone Choir. and several other local ensembles, will join Feldie in the studio for today's edition of Lucky Old Souls.  Dan will discuss his song cycle "Five Simple Worlds... And Ways Of Getting There" and the monthly Avant Ascension series that he co-presents at Tritone every third Wednesday.  Dan will also share music from some under-appreciated saxophone players from throughout the history of jazz.  

You can hear Dan perform a trio version of "Five Simple Worlds..." at this month's Avant Ascension, tomorrow night, Wednesday, February 18, at 9:30 p.m. at Tritone, 1508 South St.
