Stay cool and listen to Mary Robinson and Julie Greenberg tell us about feminist solutions to climate change. They say we can lower the temperature on extreme weather events like this weekend's heat wave going forward with action now. Planet Philadelphia 4-5 pm today.


Mary Robinson: is former first female president of Ireland, former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, UN Special Envoy on Climate Change, Chairperson of the Elders, recent author of “Climate Justice: Hope, Resilience, and the Fight for a Sustainable Future”, and co-host of the “Mothers of Invention” (a podcast on the environment with Maeve Higgins, a comedian), among many other roles. 



Rabbi Julie Greenberg: is the climate justice coordinator for POWER (People Organized to Witness, Empower, and Rebuild) an interfaith social justice group that works on social change and has over 80 member religious/ethical groups that form its coalition. She was trained in organizing in the feminist movement in the 1970’s.
