Good eve. Welcome to Skywave. Tonite we have 2 more radio plays. the 1st is a fantasy tale from the Columbia Workshop series. Originally aired 1939, "The Use Of Man" asks the question. What use is he; especially to the animals who appear in Lord Gorse's dream to deliver their opinions of his utility. We follow with a taut tale of suspense from the Front Page Drama series. 1st broadcast 1934, "The Devil's Daughter" concerns a determined woman's will to stay overnight in the temple of Sekhmet; the Egyptian goddess of destruction who has wrought insanity on any who dare her. But what is this woman trying to prove? Will she succeed? And with us tonite are 2 actors with nothing to prove, but plenty to share with their treasure of multiple personae- Shelli Pentimall Booker, Steve Medvidick, and myself, your host Andy Pettit.
