G-town Radio is proud to present news breaks from the Media Mobilizing Project. You will hear new pieces each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (noon & 5 PM). This week's On Blast segment is called Wide Angle Media: Young People Making Media. While Philly Student Union was in Baltimore they met other young people making media and using it as a tool for change. Produced by Eric Yates & Matt Johnson. Labor Justice Radio this week features a piece called LGBT Immigrants' Rights in Philadelphia. In this segment we hear the stories of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Asian Americans and Latino immigrants. Experience of repression is often a driving force for immigration. The Asian Arts Initiative sponsored this event and coordinated a presentation by these panelists to help inform the national fight for immigration reform. This segment was produced by Kistine Carolan.
