G-town Radio is proud to present news breaks from the Media Mobilizing Project. You will hear new pieces each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (noon & 5 PM). This week's On Blast segment is called Philly Student Union's Year in Review. Philly Student Union had a powerful year. As the school year comes to a close, we created this montage to capture the highlights of the 2009-2010 school year. Thanks to all of the people who helped make this school year so successful and congratulations to all of our graduating members! Labor Justice Radio this week features a piece called Residents Battle Service Cuts at City Hall. Philadelphia includes cuts to library services and firefighters, and a ten percent property tax increase. At a rally at City Hall, the Coalition for Essential Services called for a stop to cuts, and more taxes for big business. A report by Milena Velis.
