Good eve. Welcome to Skywave. Tonite we have 2 dramas. We'll begin with Russian playwright Leonid Andreyev's "Call of the Revolution", a near perfectly timed piece to celebrate the 100 year anniversary. We continue with the 1941 script titled "Home". In this case, a soldier who's face has been badly damaged by a strafe bombing must confront the ordeal of living with a new face. Tonight's guests are 1st timer Nyiema Lunsford along with Gary Mitchell and myself, your host, Andy Pettit.

Good eve. Welcome to Skywave. We'll start with an episode from the Columbia Workshop. Titled, "Let Me Tell You About My Operation", this 1942 script concerns an injured man whose pain only increases when admitted to the hospital. We continue with a 10 minute play by Bruce Kane. Titled "Mirror, Mirror", it seems there is trouble brewing between an evil stepmother and her stepdaughter. Sound familiar? Our guests are Sharon Sigal, Kathy Harmer, Maury Harris and myself, Andy Pettit.

Good eve. Welcome to Skywave, your show for live radio play fun! Tonite we have 2 classic scripts. the first is an episode from the suspense series Quiet Please. Originally aired 1947, "3 Sides To a Story" considers a trio of perspectives in regard to their relationships (motivated by that old plot churner, money) develops. Our 2nd selection is an episode from the scintillating sci fi series Flash Gordon. 1st broadcast 1935, "Episode 3" finds Flash snared in the nefarious clutches of evil emperor Ming.  Our guests are first time guest Yannick Trapman- O'Brien, Shelli Pentimall Booker, along with Jim Harris and me, your host, Andy Pettit.

Good eve. Welcome to Skywave. Tonite we perform 2 comedies. The 1st is from the Baby Snooks and Daddy series. Originally aired 1947, "The Ugly Duckling" has lovelorn Snooks getting more than she wished for by writing a letter to the Lonely Hearts Club. Our 2nd play is considered the first play written esp'ly for radio. 1st broadcast 1925, "Sue 'Em" is a humorous fable that warns against the moral erosion that greed can cause. And here to smother you in their ever-loving voice artistry are Susan Octopus Arms Triggiani, Mike Bear Hug Raimondo, Martha Cheek Pincher Michael, Bill Back Smacker Simpson, along with  Jim Foot Masseuse Harris of Ave G, and me, your host, Andy elbow rubber Pettit.

Our 2nd selection is another thriller from the Strange Dr. Weird series. Originally aired 1944, "Journey Into The Unknown" examines the effects of a serum a scientist administers to himself to increase his strength. What might be the side effects of this steroid-like potion? Our guests tonite are Sherry Brown, Gary Mitchell, Steve Medvidick, and myself, your host, Andy Pettit.

Good eve. Welcome to Skywave, your program for live radio play listening pleasure.  Tonite we have a trio of plays. We'll start with an episode from the nail-biting Quiet Please series. First broadcast in 1948, "Let The Lilies Consider" explores a triangular relationship between a woman, a man, and his flowers. How did the original human pair become threesome? This tale is sure to fertilize your imagination. We continue with 2 brief episodes from the comedy series that spawned so many others- The Bickersons. The first, from 1946 and titled "The Tax Refund", is a friendly nudge to avoid the IRS and a reminder that any contentious couple may want to consider how they should file. The second entry from the Battling Bickersons is "8th Wedding Anniversary", which should be a fair indication how this duo does deal with their financial affairs, but offers no clues for marriage counselors. And here, despite knowing every detail about each other and still agreeing to perform together are the sensational Sharon Sigal and the gregarious Gary Mitchell along with Jim as mediator -er moderator, virile voice and podmaster Harris of Ave G and me, your pest -er host for tonite's show, Andy Pettit.

Howdy. Welcome to Skywave, the only program in Philly that features live radio play entertainment every week. Tonite we have 2 more scintillating scripts. The 1st is from the sci fi series Quiet Please. Originally aired 1948, "The Pathetic Fallacy" refers to the humanizing term scientists use to attribute emotions to computers, which we all know no machine could ever possess. Could it? Of course not! But what if... Our second selection is a humorous tale from the series Fleischmann's Yeast Hour. 1st broadcast 1934, "If Women Take The Place of Men" considers just that. what might happen if traditional gender roles were reversed; a kind of Mr. mom situation 50 years early. And here to tell it how it was are 2 modern-minded thespians. Please welcome 1st time guest Jillian Bosmann, and old friend who was with us 3 summers ago during our 1st year- Vincent Ali along with golden moldy Jim Harris of ave G and me, your ageless host,  Dorian Grey!

Good summer's eve. Welcome to Skywave,; the place to hear live radio play performances. Tonite we have 2 terrific tales. The first is from Agatha Christie's Poirot. Originally aired 1945, "The Case of the Careless Client" considers a visit to NY by the detective Hercule Poirot. When he arrives at the hotel Windsor, Poirot is quick to sniff the scent of a fresh corpse, a significant currency expert, or is it his body guard? Can the American inspector solve the murder alone or will the mustachioed Belgian biscuit detective be required for assistance? Following that always spider web of a plot play, we continue with an episode from Front Page Drama. 1st broadcast 1933, "Switchboard Secrets" tells all about what happens when a woman has to reconsider her gender to get a job. And here to lift the spirit in your ears thru their silver thrush-like voices are canary Kathy Harmer, Shorebird Shelli Pentimall-Booker, and Jynx Jimmy Harris of ave G along with me, your host, and Antbird Pettit.
