Good eve. Welcome to Skywave here at Gtown where your auditory entertainment is our business. We begin with a tale from the suspense series Quiet Please. 1st broadcast 1948,  "Whence Came You?" brings us to Cairo where an archaeologist is on the hunt for buried artifacts and possibly, treasure. During a dig they uncover something. Be warned. You'll have to stiffen your resolve to sit thru this one. We continue with an episode from the adventure series Capt. Midnight. Originally aired 1939, Episode 170 has Capt. Midnight, his eager sidekick Chuck and associate Juan Perada with his plane grounded in the mud. Can they extricate themselves from this sticky situation? And here to ensure all plot questions are answered are solid regulars Stephen Medvidick, Gary Mitchell  and your host, Andy Pettit.

We follow with a script from the comedy My Friend Irma. 1st broadcast 1950, "the Boss Buys A Racehorse" has Irma fouling up the situation worse than the stench of equine kaka or does she have a nose for the sweet smell of roses that come with a wreath for the winner of a race that's just about to happen? Will they squabble in the usual Jerry Springer style of today or remain civil?  "Oh, brother" is right, sister! We follow with a hard-boiled detective drama from the rocky Fortune series. 1st broadcast 1954, "Too Many Husbands" puts a female lib take on marital arrangements. For the details, stay tuned. Originally aired 1950, Ray Bradbury's "Zero Hour" takes place back in the future of 1985. It seems that a new children's game called Invasion is all the rage nationally. How will parents respond, and more, how has the message of mass media influence endured today? We follow with a tale of the same theme of child fantasy with an original piece. Titled "Toyboat", our story tells more about the persuasive power of youthful imagination. what happens when a boy loses a toy steering wheel for his boat down the drain? Can he get it back? We start with an episode from the Quiet Please series. 1st broadcast 1948, "Motive " concerns an anxious husband desperate to reunite with his wife. while he awaits her return, he reminisces over the circumstances that led to their separation. Will gloom of the past or fond anticipation of a reunion prevail in this unstable man's mind? Stay tuned! We continue with some comic relief with an episode from Our Miss Brooks. Originally aired 1950, "Board of Education Day" employs the plot of the the merry mix up. In this case, it's a speech that's mistakenly glued from several parts. Will it make any sense? What will the consequences be for our hero? Our voice mixologists this eve are regulars Shelli Pentimall and Mike Raimondo along with host Andy Pettit.

We follow with an entry form america's beloved beefy buffoon Popeye. 1st broadcast in the 30's, "Visiting the Zoo" finds our hero in an encounter with an elephant. Will a can of spinach consumption save the day or some other mysterious product? Good eve. Welcome to Skywave. Tonite we have 2 more terrific radio plays. We'll begin with an original sci fi suspense story. titled Mothman(which is based on a local West Virginia legend that received substantial press in the mid '60's), a couple have a date at an abandoned  TNT factory that serves as the area's Lover's Lane only to encounter a phenomenon they can't see but only hear; emanating eerie avian alarms. Is is human, bird, neither, or both? We follow that feather rustler with a melodrama from the Fleishmann's Yeast hour. Originally aired 1933, "the Love Nest" recounts the travails of  a fading shrill nightingale who was graced the screen as a silver throated thrush of  a starlet. And here to keep you up in the air are guests Martha Michael, Bill Simpson, Max Pettit, and Jim Harris  along with myself, your host, Andy Pettit.
