Revolutionary Germantown Festival

Where: Cliveden, 6401 Germantown Avenue
 
Join the festival on the grounds of Cliveden and Upsala for the Revolutionary Germantown Festival marking the 236th anniversary of the Battle of Germantown! Activities include battle reenactments at 12pm & 3pm, children's activities, a colonial muster, re-enactors George Washington and Ned Hector, tours, food, and a beer garden! A fun day for the whole family celebrating the only Revolutionary War battle fought in Philadelphia. The Deshler-Morris House (OPEN 1 day only in 2013!) Johnson House, Germantown Mennonite Meetinghouse, Wyck and the Concord School will be open for tours.

After a great day at the Revolutionary Germantown Festival head down to Grumblethorpe, a Colonial German homestead where British General James Agnew succumbed to gunshot wounds - to enjoy a relaxed evening of homemade potato salads, coleslaw, desserts, fresh grilled sausages, music, tours, and beer in the 18th century garden. Free admission, fee for tours & food, donation for beer. Music provided by GtownRadio's Mt. Airy Groove!
