The show will also cover the overlooked and under-reported news of the day. In our Respect Due segment we will honor the life and activism of Malcolm X. Feb. 21, 2010 is the 45th anniversary of the assassination of Malcolm X. We will share audio footage of Brother Malcolm speaking during the last year of his life. Ewuare X. Osayande is a political activist, cultural analyst, poet, essayist, publisher and professor. Osayande is an award-winning author of more than 15 books including Blood Luxury (published internationally by Africa World Press) and Misogyny and the Emcee: Sex, Race and Hip Hop. His forthcoming book is entitled Fighting Words: 20 Years of Literary Resistance. He is co-founder and director of POWER (People Organized Working to Eradicate Racism) and creator of Project ONUS Rites-of-Passage.
