Stepping Into Tomorrow fuses thoughtful dialogue about the issues that face everyday urban communities including Philadelphia, while highlighting those individuals or entities that make solutions possible. This show also features a music component, showcasing artists both local and on a national level, whose work provides a voice for change and societal uplift.

Tune in this evening to Stepping Into Tomorrow at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant continues his spotlight on Women's History Month!  Tonight's show features Zahra Diallo, who is organizing this Saturday's "Letters to the Survivors" event which will provide a space for artists and storytellers to provide various narratives based on the struggles and triumphs of Black women, particularly as it relates to the multi-faceted aspects of abuse.  This program promises to gather folks together in a program that will be enriching, empowering and inspiring.  He also will discuss the recently announced "Call-in to Save Mumia Abu Jamal" campaign, which runs from March 17-March 31 in order to raise awareness to the Commonwealth's officials regarding Hep C, and the crisis of medical neglect that affects thousands of prisoners across Pennsylvania.  Feel free to call in at 215.609.4301!

Tune in this evening to Stepping Into Tomorrow at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Asantewaa Nkrumah-Ture, a member of the Global Women's Strike, who is helping to put on this Saturday's screening of the powerful film "Tales of the Grim Sleeper."  March 12, 6:30pm, at the Lava Space at 41st/Lancaster, this documentary shows how "over 200 Black women (went) missing in South Los Angeles and as many as 100 are believed to be victims of serial murders."  It is "a devastating expose of official neglect in those murders that terrorized South Central LA for over 25 years. It includes interviews with the women who survived and with the Black Coalition Fighting Back Serial Murders, which since 1984 has protested the deaths and campaigned for the police to act."

"As the trial of the suspected killer finally got underway last week, the Black Coalition has called out the prosecutor for stereotyping the women as prostitutes and drug addicts. This international day of action, called by the Coalition, is to remember the victims and support their families.

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with activists regarding the Akai Gurley case, in which a young Black man was killed by police officer Peter Liang in a building stairwell in Brooklyn.  Liang was convicted on manslaughter this past week, so we will comment on the community's feelings on all of this.  We also will speak with organizers for this Sunday's Sa-Roc show, LIVE in Philly!  The emcee is an incredible hiphop artist making waves for her lyrical abilities and conscious content.  Listen in on what her movement is about and be sure to be in the building Sunday evening!

Revolution.  Just a few words to describe the music of TAHIR RBG, an incredible artist who puts his work in on the microphone, on stage and in empowering the community.  Tahir RBG has just released his new album, Hymns of the Whirlwind, and it is an album that you definitely want to add on to your collection!  Tune in this evening as hosts Gabriel Bryant and Abdus Sabur discuss Tahir's road through hiphop music, what drives his songwriting, and why an album like Hymns... needs to be heard now in this current national climate!  We can't forget the news of the day also, including tomorrow's car caravan for Mumia's hearing on Hep C and planning community initiatives for 2016!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with revolutionary emcee, RuffMic, who this Saturday, Dec. 5th presents "Let's Talk Resistance: Mind, Body and Sound," a conference being held at Imhotep H.S. "for the artists in our community whose art reflects our people's fight for liberation."  Along with workshops and an African marketplace, the evening portion will feature performances from Umar Bin Hassan of The Last Poets and Philly's own Ursula Rucker.  Gabriel also will get an update on political prisoner, Mumia Abu Jamal, from Mama Pam Africa and what is in store for this Saturday's program at the Church of the Advocate!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant hears from organizers with Black Lives Matter - Philadelphia Chapter, to discuss this Sunday's "A Year Without Tamir" community vigil and speak-out slated for Nov. 22 at 3PM, and what his life means to us and the movement for Black Lives.  He also will speak with activists who have coordinated this Saturday's "Know Your Rights" panel and workshops being held Nov. 21 at the Church of the Advocate at 5:30pm.  Lastly, he will speak with reps from Justice or Else - Philly, who will divulge more into the plans for the economic boycott beginning Black Friday, and what we can do to support during this upcoming holiday season!
