Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant features sista Tiffany who will be discussing next week's Uhuru Festival and Market.  She will talk about the programming that comes out of the African People's Education and Defense Fund (APEDF) and this year's banner theme of "Black Health Matters!"  We also will talk about today's "Stadium Stompers" and "Day of Rage" demonstrations, which were organized to combat the building of the Temple University football stadium and an end to Stop and Frisk.  Lastly, we will give another rundown of next week's Weekend of Resistance including multiple ways to discuss the plight of political prisoners, Hep C, and ways the arts plays a key role in the process!  Feel free to call in at 215.609.4301!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow, this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant discusses the "If I Was President" event happening Friday evening, April 8th on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania, with Shantee Rosado of Penn's Fontaine Society.  She will discuss the program which will see organizer and activist, Rosa Clemente, who will be speaking on electoral politics and racial justice, in light of the upcoming 2016 Presidential Election season.  He also will speak with Diop Olugbala, who will be discussing the Black is Back National Conference, which is happening Sat., April 9th in Harlem, NYC, featuring Omali Yeshitela, Glen Ford, Ralph Poynter, Charles Barron and several other movement activists who will be providing revolutionary perspectives around the upcoming election season!

Tune in this evening to Stepping Into Tomorrow at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant continues his spotlight on Women's History Month!  Tonight's show features Zahra Diallo, who is organizing this Saturday's "Letters to the Survivors" event which will provide a space for artists and storytellers to provide various narratives based on the struggles and triumphs of Black women, particularly as it relates to the multi-faceted aspects of abuse.  This program promises to gather folks together in a program that will be enriching, empowering and inspiring.  He also will discuss the recently announced "Call-in to Save Mumia Abu Jamal" campaign, which runs from March 17-March 31 in order to raise awareness to the Commonwealth's officials regarding Hep C, and the crisis of medical neglect that affects thousands of prisoners across Pennsylvania.  Feel free to call in at 215.609.4301!

Tune in this evening to Stepping Into Tomorrow at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Asantewaa Nkrumah-Ture, a member of the Global Women's Strike, who is helping to put on this Saturday's screening of the powerful film "Tales of the Grim Sleeper."  March 12, 6:30pm, at the Lava Space at 41st/Lancaster, this documentary shows how "over 200 Black women (went) missing in South Los Angeles and as many as 100 are believed to be victims of serial murders."  It is "a devastating expose of official neglect in those murders that terrorized South Central LA for over 25 years. It includes interviews with the women who survived and with the Black Coalition Fighting Back Serial Murders, which since 1984 has protested the deaths and campaigned for the police to act."

"As the trial of the suspected killer finally got underway last week, the Black Coalition has called out the prosecutor for stereotyping the women as prostitutes and drug addicts. This international day of action, called by the Coalition, is to remember the victims and support their families.

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with activists regarding the Akai Gurley case, in which a young Black man was killed by police officer Peter Liang in a building stairwell in Brooklyn.  Liang was convicted on manslaughter this past week, so we will comment on the community's feelings on all of this.  We also will speak with organizers for this Sunday's Sa-Roc show, LIVE in Philly!  The emcee is an incredible hiphop artist making waves for her lyrical abilities and conscious content.  Listen in on what her movement is about and be sure to be in the building Sunday evening!
