Stepping Into Tomorrow fuses thoughtful dialogue about the issues that face everyday urban communities including Philadelphia, while highlighting those individuals or entities that make solutions possible. This show also features a music component, showcasing artists both local and on a national level, whose work provides a voice for change and societal uplift.

Blue Endowed Chair in Political Science at North Carolina Central University, author of the book 1ne Drop and creator of the upcoming docuseries Professional Black Girl, debuting on Sept. 9!  With a focus on reflecting the fullness and multi-faceted aspects to Black women and girls, they will discuss how these weekly episodes - featuring a who's who of Black women scholars, activists and thought leaders - will showcase the brilliance and joy in the lives of Black women everywhere!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow, this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant discusses San Francisco 49ers QB, Colin Kaepernick, and his recent comments and stance to not stand during the national anthem, with Dr. Drew Brown, professor and activist whose work focuses on the role of race in sports, and who himself played football both on the college level and professionally.  Are his comments in line with the legacies of Jim Brown and others?  What more should we expect from him? And what do negative, hateful and violent comments against Kaepernick showcase about the climate of this country?

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM as host Gabriel Bryant discusses the campaign to remove the Frank Rizzo statue from Philadelphia's Municipal Services Building in Center City.  Speaking with activist Erica Mines, they will talk about why for many, this figure continues to bring out thoughts of the history of racism and police brutality in the city.  Should it be moved to another part of the city? Taken down altogether? Gabriel will also speak with activist Shani Akilah of the Black and Brown Workers Collective, who will be holding their first community Block Party this Saturday, August 20, in Southwest Philly.  Listen in to see how this event is not only a great social event but an opportunity to raise the key political issues of the BBWC and how you can support their movement!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant discusses this week's tragic murders of Korryn Gaines, Joyce Quaweay and Skye Mockabee.  He will speak with Laniece Williams, an organizer with Black Lives Matter - Philadelphia chapter.  With many expressing their outrage on social media and organizations working to lift up these names, what can we do to combat misogyny, patriarchy and toxic masculinity in our communities? He also will speak with Ramona Africa, who will be talking about this Sunday's "OnaMOVE Update" event, happening August 7th, 12-4pm, at the African American Museum (7th/Arch), where attendees will be provided with information on the current status of incarcerated political prisoners, the MOVE 9, and plans for next year's MOVE Conference, May 2017!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with activist, lawyer and radio show host, Michael Coard, who will be discussing this coming Monday's "Annual Black Independence Day" event, organized by Avenging the Ancestors Coalition (ATAC).  Coard will talk about their successful battle for a slavery memorial at the site of 6th and Market, and the history of enslavement dating back centuries as it relates to Philadelphia, in fact back to George Washington himself.
