This show also features a music component, showcasing artists both local and on a national level, whose work provides a voice for change and societal uplift.

In the last two days, Black Lives Matter - Philly have come under attack by right wing organizations and media entities for their issue with BLM Philly's stance on Black only spaces in meetings, which for BLM is an opportunity to "strategize, organize, heal and fellowship without the threat of violence or co-optation." Listen in as we discuss the history of such an issue, what allyship means, and how to move forward toward the goals of justice and liberation.

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Ethepoetemcee Muhammad, Founder and Director of this coming Saturday's Hustler of Culture Black Arts Expo! Themed, "Don't Touch My Hair," this third edition of the expo series is focusing on "celebrating the sacredness of Black women." Featuring interactive workshops, networking, vendors, cultural activities and a special live concert, this is an event you won't want to miss! Gabriel will also speak with Jack Drummond, Director of the Mayor's Office for Black Male Engagement, who will be discussing their upcoming monthly Community Conversation, this time focusing on Health and Wellness, and happening next Wednesday, March 22 5:30-7:30pm at the Community College of Philadelphia (Winnet Student Life Bldg). These conversations provide a platform for community members "to discuss challenges, opportunities and solutions that address dismantling inequities that impact the lives of men and boys of color in the city." Dr. Mickens, a servant leader in community based and school based education since the 1990's, will talk about this ground breaking piece of literature, which is equal parts history and blueprint about the historic and contemporary manifestation of Freedom Schools in Philadelphia. Having served in several capacities in Philadelphia Freedom Schools, this book must be added to anyone's home library interested in the fusion of education, culture and liberation for our young people!

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with a member of Black Lives Matter - Philadelphia to discuss today's protests in Center City in response to Trump's visit to Philadelphia. They will discuss the heightened level of activity and actions happening nationwide since the presidential election.  Gabriel also will speak with Sis. Asantewaa Nkrumah-Ture, an organizer on this Saturday's Fidel tribute happening at the historic Church of the Advocate.  Just a couple of months since Cuban leader Fidel Castro made transition, she will explain how this program will highlight the important lessons and work accomplished under Castro and what his leadership meant for worldwide liberation and justice!
