This show also features a music component, showcasing artists both local and on a national level, whose work provides a voice for change and societal uplift.

This interactive event, featuring music, speakers and workshops will allow people to join the conversation around mass incarceration and how to address injustice locally and nationally. Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow, this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Reuben Jones of Frontline Dads and the Philadelphia Community Bail Fund. They will discuss Philadelphia district attorney Larry Krasner's recent move to recommend ending cash bail for 25 low-level offenses and how this measure will affect communities of color, while making an impact in the work to dismantle mass incarceration. Gabriel will also speak with Kamila Ahmad, who will provide an account of Black youth who were recently victims of racist aggression from white students while at school and the administration that did not provide the safety, security or expertise to properly deal with the situation. Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Pam Africa and representatives organizing this weekend's "Have Black Lives Ever Mattered?" events. With the release of world-renowned political prisoner, Mumia Abu-Jamal's latest book, entitled "Have Black Lives Ever Mattered?" organizers and activists have put together a weekend including a Teach-In, rally and march, spoken word performances and a special forum on mass incarceration featuring Marc Lamont Hill and Akeem Browder, noted brother of Kalief Browder, who committed suicide after multiple assaults by prisoners and prison guards at Riker's Island.

They will discuss this weekend's conference, designed to gather activists and concerned community members regarding the development of a model of community power in relation to policing. The goals include creating an infrastructure wherein community members have more of a voice and are empowered to intervene in these affairs to hire, fire, subpoena and audit the police.
