Stepping Into Tomorrow fuses thoughtful dialogue about the issues that face everyday urban communities including Philadelphia, while highlighting those individuals or entities that make solutions possible. This show also features a music component, showcasing artists both local and on a national level, whose work provides a voice for change and societal uplift.

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant discusses the controversial street re-naming of North 59th Street in west Philadelphia (from Overbrook Ave. to City Line Ave.) as "W. Wilson Goode Way," after the former Mayor. Concerned community members and activists have voiced their issue with the street being re-named at City Council hearings and at the street re-naming dedication itself, citing the former Mayor's connection and role in the 1985 MOVE bombing, which left 11 men, women and children dead, 61 homes burned down and 250 people displaced. Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Jeannine Cook to discuss the Philly Children's Movement and their #BLK2SCHOOL campaign, demanding schools hire more Black educators for children. They have a three-tiered action plan which they will talk about and additionally an upcoming school supply drive and campaign launch scheduled for Sat. Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant meets with artivist, Blak Rapp Madusa and activist Lavinia Davis to discuss this weekend's "Mary's Daughter...Memoirs of an Artivist" one-woman play, being held at the African American Museum in Philadelphia. This critically acclaimed production showcases Blak Rapp Madusa sharing her story on her experiences in womanhood, family and her fights for justice and liberation. This event will also include a dedication to the life and legacy of political prisoner, Russell "Maroon" Shoatz, including a panel discussion made up of Philadelphia activists and organizers representing several different organizations. We also will hear from Theresa Shoatz this evening, to discuss how this event is meaningful for her dad and entire family.

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with Lamond Muhammad, to discuss his participation in the upcoming "Stop the Killing: The Assault Against Our Youth" program. Happening on Wed. July 25th at the Church of the Advocate, this event will be an All Men/Young Men meeting designed to do a deep dive into the violence that plagues our neighborhoods. The event plans to provide a safe space for men to open up, share the challenges they face and look at on-going supports which can be provided for them. We also will receive an update from artist and activist Blak Rapp Madusa, who was assaulted by police in Pittsburgh several months ago and will have an update on her case, including her planning of an upcoming one-woman show and a town hall forum dedicated to political prisoner, Russell Maroon Shoatz. Gabriel also will provide an update on today's violent raid on the Occupy ICE encampment and why activists are still working toward true justice and the dismantling of anti-immigrant policies and institutions!
