Stepping Into Tomorrow fuses thoughtful dialogue about the issues that face everyday urban communities including Philadelphia, while highlighting those individuals or entities that make solutions possible. This show also features a music component, showcasing artists both local and on a national level, whose work provides a voice for change and societal uplift.

Tune in to Stepping Into Tomorrow, this evening at 8:00PM, as host Gabriel Bryant speaks with organizers of next week's Kwanzaa program focused on the documentary, "The Independence Day Project"! Filmmaker Carl Tone Jones, will discuss the importance of this film, which focuses on strategies to attain and sustain Black liberation. He will be joined by Sis. Lavinia, who will share why it was important for the North Philly Peace Park initiative to be a part of this effort. Gabriel will also feature Bro. Khamuo of the Afrakan Independence Day institution, who will be talking about their 5th Annual Buy Black Marketplace Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration, which will be held on Sat. Focusing on the current global examples of resistance, this program will feature a special keynote presentation by Glen Ford, panels, breakouts and live entertainment, including a performance by MOVE member, Mike Africa Jr.!

This annual event features a variety of acts, including Bethlehem Roberson and Reef the Lost Cauze, with proceeds going to bailing out folks in time for the holidays!

He also will speak with Melanated Educators Collective activist and educator, Ismael Jiminez, who will discuss the recent work of the Caucus of Working Educators to present a new slate of leadership to the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers union!

Joined by longtime MOVE activist, Pam Africa, they will share their thoughts on how they navigated the decades of their incarceration, returning to Philadelphia after so many years and the continued push to organize for the release of the rest of their MOVE 9 family - Chuck and Delbert Africa. They have organized this weekend of events to celebrate the communities that make up the mosaic of East Africa, by coming together in the spirit of peace, specifically as it relates to the historic agreement between the nations of Eritrea and Ethiopia that was signed months ago that ended a 20 year conflict.
