Tune in to today's edition of Lucky Old Souls and hear the unveiling of a new weekly feature called Uncle Sam's Vinyl, showcasing the 200+ records that Feldie's uncle Sam has given him.  Most of the records are jazz albums from the late '60s and '70s, an often neglected but artistically rich and adventurous period for the music.  The entire 2nd hour of the show will be devoted to Uncle Sam's Vinyl, spotlighting two albums each week. 

Hour 1: the usual unusual LOS mix of jazz, rhythm & blues, early rock & roll, and more

Hour 2: Uncle Sam's Vinyl: jazz LPs from the late '60s and '70s.  This week's albums: Buddy Terry's Awareness (Mainstream, 1972) and the Roland Hanna/Mickey Tucker collaboration The New Heritage Keyboard Quartet (Blue Note, 1973)
