Electric boogaloo song. Print E-mail

The Mt. Airy Groove returns after a week on the left coast (fear not, I'll always prefer Biggie to Tupac).   Got a set for the recently departed Cedar Walton, the consummate sideman who left his mark on countless classic albums.  Plus, a set of California inspired tunes and lots of Stevie Wonder & Michael Jackson...cuz the Saucegirl just turned 40!

Reimagine Maplewood Mall! Print E-mail

G-town Radio, Germantown United CDC, and friends invite you to re-imagine Maplewood Mall as a thriving place to shop and socialize. On Saturday, June 22 the mall will become an open air cafe/block party for the entire family. This free event will offer live music, food to purchase and entertainment for children. The mission is to give families and neighbors a nice night out in Germantown AND engage with residents to re-imagine what the Maplewood Mall could be. To emphasize the theme of re-imagining we are working with several local artists to transform what we see and how we think about the space.

In addition to the opportunity to meet many G-Town Radio programmers and check out our studio, there will also be live DJ sets from DJ Aura of Places & Spaces, SupaTang of Yard2Yard Rewind and DJ Ranztron of the Mt. Airy Groove, plus an enigmatic rock performance from our very own FEWSH!

The festive environment will create an atmosphere not seen in Maplewood Mall for a very long time.  The party starts at 4 PM and lasts until 8:30 PM.  See you there!
