G-town Radio is proud to introduce news breaks from the Media Mobilizing Project. You will hear new pieces each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (noon & 5 PM). This week's On Blast segment is Who Are They Listening To? by Azeem Hill. "The Listening and Learning Tour" led by Arnie Duncan, Al Sharpton and Newt Gingrinch kicked off in Philly on Tuesday, September 29th. The community and the students were concerned and wanted to talk about what national education reform should look like. The only time we got to talk to Arnie Duncan and Al Sharpton was when they were separated from the community by a gate. This piece tells the story. Labor Justice Radio this week features Christine Lewis, an organizer with Domestic Workers United. She speaks about the working conditions that domestic workers face on a daily basis and shares a political analysis of the role that domestic work plays in our economy. This interview was conducted by Kistine Carolan, and produced by Milena Velis
