Stop by the Junction Wednesday night for 100% vinyl grooves.  Last week featured some great debuts, but still some more new ones to bring your way.  The legendary Art Pepper's wife Laurie just teamed up with Omnivore Records to release a series of live quartet sides from the early '80s, Jazzman digs deeper (do they every stop???) to bring us hard luck soul from the Ohio Penitentiary's 511 Jazz Ensemble and Mayer Hawthorne's Record Store Day 10 inch is a great live session from KCRW's Morning Goes Eclectic.  And sadly, Dave Brubeck died today, so we'll pay tribute.   Come on in!

Stop by the Junction Wednesday night for some great new vinyl grooves.  Out of nowhere, the Greg Foat Group returns with an EP close on the heels of last year's now classic release and in anticipation of a full length coming out in the next two weeks.  But that's not all!  The Menahan Street Band just released their 2nd album, Finnish reedman Timo Lassy's got a new one, and we'll spin the soundtrack to Searching for Sugarman, a documentary about the enigmatic folk/funk of the elusive Rodriguez.  Plus, a batch of Hendrix covers celebrating the man's 70th birthday!
