Good eve. Welcome to Skywave, for more radio play action. Tonight we have 2 more seasonal treats. We begin with a xmas episode titled "Xmas Story" from the Gunsmoke series. It seems Marshall Dillon has become stranded 40 miles from Dodge and its xmas eve. Will he make it back in time for the festivities before the coyotes, scorpions or rattlers get him? There's no guessing how the mistletoe works for the Bickersons on "Xmas Tree" when we learn that our 2 lovebirds made the supreme sacrifice for each other. How special are the gifts and what did they have to give up to get them? Stay tunes with our regular round of rosey voices Sherry Brown, Bill Simpson, Jimbo Harris and your host, Andy Pettit |

Good eve. Welcome to Skywave for more live radio play action. We begin with a script from Fibber McGee and Molly. 1st broadcast 1945, "Fibber Paints A Xmas Tree" is a typical treatment of the husband trying to save $ on the holidays by painting his own xmas tree...until a scene at the end that shows the merits of being a miser. Bah, humbug, you say? Then wait til you hear a tickler from Vic And Sade. Originally aired 1943, "Xmas Cards" considers a terrible misprint concerning one of the Gook family on a xmas card. Will son Rush find out? And how can visiting aunt Flora extricate Vic And Sade from this potentially season-spoiling situation. Well, here to keep you in great cheer are voices Su Trigianni, Maury Harris, El Perry and your host, Andy Pettit. |
